Athfield Memorial Lectures

Sir Ian Athfield, who passed away in January 2015, was a singular and much-loved figure in New Zealand architecture. In his honour an annual public lecture series has been established by the New Zealand Institute of Architects. The inaugural lectures in 2015 were given by the eminent Australian architect Peter Stutchbury, the recipient of the Australian Institute of Architects Gold Medal in 2015, in Auckland on 30 October and in Wellington on 4 November 2015.
